Anyone know about winrar for free?
I heard that is was free before my question earlier today.
Now I'm seeing it for $29.

Stuffit Expander is also free on Windows (10 sec wait if no pay) and does all kinds of formats.

tiger ... how does PeaZip compare to IZArc, which you recommended a few months ago, and which i've used, never any problems at all, wide support for a number of formats?

see, if you had a mac you could use stuffit expander which is free! ;-)

Seriously, i also downloaded and expanded that show last week after your Q-tip post and SDH's follow-up thread. I would be happy to send you the flac files or burn as audio if you want. Let me know if you are still having troubles.

Thanks. I'll try to find my usual cheapskate way through. If not, Elbow, I appreciate your gentlemanly offer. I'll weigh in tomorrow.

I'm on a mission to find fresh Chinese noodles with the missus, so I'm done for today.

I just downloaded it a couple of weeks ago and there was a free version then. Double check because they had some that weren't free, maybe you missed the one that was.

I may be mistaken, but I believe that winrar is *free* as long as you don't register it. I remember when I got it that I had the trial version and every once and and while it would tell me that "winrar is not a free software, you must register..." well, I never registered and I use it a couple of times a week on average.
